I grew up camping, the kind of family where a weekend without a tent somewhere felt like a weekend wasted. That stuck with me.

When I set out to start a business, I wanted it to be in something I actually cared about, not just whatever looked profitable on a spreadsheet. Overlanding and off-grid gear stood out for a specific reason: most of what's out there is either budget throwaway gear or scattered across a dozen different specialty brands with no single place to shop them well.

So that's what TrailNest Outdoor is, a curated stop for expedition-grade shelters and power systems, sourced from manufacturers who actually build for people who go somewhere with their gear, not just display it in a driveway.

We're TrailNest Outdoor LLC, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and an independent, authorized dealer for FreeSpirit Recreation, Naturnest, and Jackery. That means you're not talking to a call center, you're talking to the person actually running this. If something's wrong with your order, I'm the one who's going to fix it.

Because rooftop tents, awnings, and power stations are large or freight-shipped items, we don't warehouse everything ourselves; most orders ship directly from the manufacturer or their authorized fulfillment centers around the country, which is also how we keep shipping times and pricing reasonable on gear this size. Wherever your order ships from, you're still dealing directly with me for support, sizing questions, or anything that needs fixing.
